Azelis has signed a deal to gain possession of 100% of the shares of CW Pacific, Elle Bee Exports, CW Pacific Specialties and EB1 Pty Ltd (CW Pacific) in Australia. The company is proficient in supplying the food raw materials for the bakery and meat market as well as specialty chemicals for the horticulture market. They mainly operate in the Australian market along with Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and other Pacific Islands.
This acquisition of the company will ameliorate the brand’s footprint in the life science segment.
Both the brands aimed on a steady diversification of technical expertise to come up with creative solutions for their patrons.
The whole process of acquisition will hopefully be completed in coming two months.
The company was instituted in 1997 and has given employment to 17 individuals. All staffs will become part of the brand, including founder and MD Skip Webb. The brand runs paper, leather and textile and CASE dedicated application laboratories. On the other hand, the company has a food test kitchen in Brisbane that offers creative solutions to its consumers.
Laurent Nataf, CEO and president of Azelis Asia Pacific stated- “The basket of CW Pacific is highly complementary to our present one and will enhance the life sciences portfolio of Azelis Australia and New Zealand. The possession of CW Pacific will give rise to our market presence and overall product supply and it will create cross-selling chances in food and agrochemicals. Customers of CW Pacific and Azelis will gain advantages from the ameliorated product array, while it will also expedite our sales growth in the food market of New Zealand.”
Skip Webb, founder and managing director of CW Pacific declared- “We have established a marvellous local commercial presence in the market over the years. By becoming part of a robust international player i.e. Azelis, we will come up with substantial amount of added value for our principals, our customers as well as to the staff members of CW Pacific. This novel coalition will offer continuity to our business and access to more and more customers and suppliers, as well as further skill, infrastructure and growth chances. Briefly, we see several synergies and we are delighted about the onset of next phase in our company history.”
Camiel Huisman, managing director, Azelis Australia informed- “The superb market presence in food and agriculture that CW Pacific has installed, in partnership with the global principals that Azelis has possessed, will allow us to supply an even more varied and more competitive array of food and agriculture ingredients into the Oceania market. We are hoping to build on this diversified platform.”
The brand reached forefront in Australia and New Zealand after acquiring the Chemcolour back in 2017. The acquisition of the company depicts the assistance given by EQT since the early acquisition of the brand. EQT is sure that the broadened variety of services and worldwide reach offered by this acquisition will continuously bring advantages to patrons and principals of the joint group.
