In this exclusive interview with Claus from Food Infotech, Mr. Sameer Kaul, Brand Manager of Pneumatech, which is currently a part of Atlas Copco Group, spoke on the introduction of Pneumatech in India last year, including revealing a little about how Atlas Copco is not only just a solution provider, but can also be your partner in sustainability, the Company’s plans for 2022 and more.

i. Would you brief us a little about the recent introduction of “Pneumatech” in India by Atlas Copco and what the company hopes to foresee from such a move?
Pneumatech since 2005, as a specialist in Air Treatment and Gas Generation business has been a part of Atlas Copco AB. The Pneumatech brand as such has a legacy of 55 years globally and is now introduced in India to provide our customers with an extended offering and complementary solutions in the field of Compressed Air treatment and Gas generation equipment. This to enhance productivity and achieve their manufacturing goals.
ii. Would you tell us briefly about the various solutions offered by Atlas Copco for the F&B industry and how are they unique?
We have an extended basket of solutions for F&B industry ranging from our oil free Class Zero compressors to our Nitrogen gas generation packages. They are unique by their very proposition in delivering a contamination free pure air and pure gas for use in critical applications in the food and beverage sector.
iii. Would you describe a bit about your recent product offerings and their features and benefits?
In the field of Compressed Air Treatment, we have brought to the world a new revolutionary and innovative product in the form of solid structured desiccant dryers replacing the conventional beaded desiccant with a much improved performance and better reliability.
Likewise, for Gas generation solutions, we have introduced the most efficient and effective technologies when it comes to delivering industrial oxygen and industrial nitrogen to our customers at the lowest cost of generation / m3 of gas.
iv. A little on Atlas Copco’s contribution to saving environment through any of its recent solution/solutions.
In our portfolio, we have introduced a very practical solution for safe disposal of compressed air condensate. Our new Oil Condensate separators ensure that our customers have a go to option for ensuring that only pure condensate water is released to the environment with minimal or no residual oil content.
As a result, the condensate can be discarded into the sewage drain, thus safeguarding the environment.
We also help our customers optimize their use of our products. This enables reduced energy consumption and maximized product lifespan. It means lower overall consumption of materials and reduced waste.
v. Can you let us know about the key business areas of the company?
Atlas Copco has four main business areas: Compressor Technology, Vacuum Technology, Industrial Technology and Power Technology. They all focus on the design, manufacturing and marketing of a large range of products for different and varied industry segments. As such going forward too, we will remain true to our promise of “Home of Industrial ideas” for all our customers.
vi. Would you share with us a little on any of your customer success stories?
Our quest to deliver pure air & pure gas to our customers has complemented our journey with many a successful customer milestones across customer segments like Textile, F&B, Packaging, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, etc. In present times, we have through our solutions been extensively supporting the cause of making available compressed air for oxygen plants to support the healthcare infrastructure in the country.
vii. Finally, could you tell us about Atlas Copco’s plans for 2022?
We believe that there is always a better way and going forward, we are with our equipment paving the way for a digitally connected world. New innovative products supported by technology to further improve our responsibility to our customers is an area of focus.
